Hello! I am a recently graduated business mgmt student, and I've been paddling for almost a decade now! I started my DB career back in high school, where I paddled competitively. I was even a prospect for the national under-18 team! I've experienced a lot that this sport has to offer, and I now want to share my experiences with the new generation of paddlers through San Jose Dragon Boat. Outside of padding, I love photography, and playing video games with my teammates.

Hi im a senior computer engineering major, joined dragon boat in 2017 with no experience cause it looked cool. I stayed cause its a fun way to stay fit, and everyone is chill. I love how social our team is, from getting food, gym pods, game nights and more. Besides paddling im into cars, bikes, beer and coffee.

Heyo, I’m a 3rd year Computer Engineering student and I’m the team’s captain. I joined back in Fall 2019 and became an officer to help every team member grow with each other physically and emotionally. Nothing beats being bonded by a sport, but it takes full effort from all teammates and especially the captain, which is something I wanted to offer. I'm a senior Chemistry w/ a concentration in Biochemistry major and have been paddling with the team since Spring 2018. I became captain because I wanted to give back to the team and share my knowledge on workouts that I've gained over the years with them. I stayed with the team because of the welcoming environment and I love spending time out on the water. Outside of dragon boat, I love listening to all kinds of music, going out to karaoke, and hanging out with friends.

I am a recently graduated Child and Adolescent Development Major and I have been a part of SJDB since September 2018. I have actually been paddling since 2014, so dragonboating has been part of my lifestyle for forever! I became secretary because I wanted to be involved in leadership, and wanted to help contribute during meetings and practices! I love being on a team, there is just something so thrilling about racing. Some silly goofy facts about me are that I can’t swim (shocking); people call me Moosh; I have 2 cats; I have 4 tattoos (and counting); and I collect earrings!

I’m a MS student in chemistry and have been paddling since 2017. I became SJDB’s treasurer during covid so I’m still learning about my role as an officer now that we can hold practices. I really like that we have both a friendly and competitive environment and I especially love the rush that you get during a race piece. Aside from Dragon Boat, I like watching korean or chinese dramas and going out with friends.

I’m a third year biomedical engineering major and I have been part of the team since November 2019. I chose to become social chair because I loved how inclusive and social the team is, and I wanted to help push the environment that we have! It makes me happy whenever people say that they feel welcomed in the team and they appreciate the friends they make here. Other than paddling, some other activities I like to do are playing video games and playing the clarinet - I’m also in SJSU’s drumline!
